What was your favorite activity or club when you were in college?
When I was in school, my favorite club was the Filipinx Student Association. Although I am not Filipina, the members welcomed me. I participated in their annual Philippine Culture Night, where I learned to dance a traditional form called tinikling. Being part of that culture and learning its traditions remains one of my favorite memories.
If you could host a concert on campus, what would it look like?
If I could host a concert on campus, it would probably be an EDM concert because EDM encompasses so many genres. It can cater to anyone’s desired music taste, there wouldn't be just one artist. I would like to come and DJ. EDM is all about peace, love, unity and respect, so it is very enjoyable and a positive space to be in.
What does your ideal Saturday look like?
My ideal way to spend a Saturday off is to wake up without an alarm, meet up with friends and get coffee at a local coffee shop and read books.
What excites you most about helping students?
What excites me a lot about helping students get connected through involvement is that I know what it feels like to have a community and a sense of belonging on campus — and I want to help our students find that too!
