What is esports?

Esports, short for electronic sports, refers to organized, competitive video gaming where individuals or teams compete against each other in various video game titles.

These competitions range from amateur online tournaments to large-scale professional events, which is becoming more popular across college campuses.

"This space is important to the campus community because it will allow students and gamers to connect, as well as take a break from classes and studying. The Esports Lounge will introduce a new aspect of campus life for students and the IU Indy community to enjoy."
